Rules & Eligibility

The Munich Music Video Awards accepts music videos completed from January 1, 2025 onwards. Submitted videos must have a maximum duration of 8 minutes.

Videos may be submitted with credits included, however, officially selected projects could later be requested in a screening version without end credit rolls.

By entering the festival, participants confirm that they own or control all necessary rights connected to the submitted work, including music, visuals, and distribution permissions. Supporting documentation may be requested for nominated projects.

MMVA reserves the non-exclusive right to screen, reproduce, and use excerpts or stills from submitted videos for festival presentations, press coverage, promotional campaigns, and social media communication.

Founded in 2020 and officially listed on IMDb, the Munich Music Video Awards is committed to showcasing outstanding music video talent from across the world.

Important Information

• Submitting a project does not automatically guarantee selection or nomination.

• Entry fees are final and cannot be refunded.

• Festival schedules, categories, deadlines, and event details may change if necessary.

• Selected works may receive additional visibility through MMVA promotional channels and media partners.

Legal Agreement

By completing a submission, the applicant declares that:

• all provided information is correct and complete,

• they are authorized to submit the music video on behalf of all involved parties,

• the submitted work does not violate copyrights, trademarks, or third-party rights,

• the festival organization and affiliated partners cannot be held liable for damages, losses, or technical issues related to submitted materials.

Unexpected Circumstances

If circumstances outside the festival’s control affect the event — including natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, technical failures, pandemics, or similar situations — the Munich Music Video Awards may adjust the event format, postpone dates, or cancel activities without refund obligations.

Submission & Notification Process

After submitting, participants will receive a confirmation email.

Official selections and nominations are announced progressively during the festival season and shortly after the final submission deadline. Updates are shared via email and official MMVA communication channels.

If no notification has been received within the announced period, applicants are encouraged to contact the festival team directly.

Materials for Selected Projects

Creators of selected or nominated videos may later be asked to provide:

• social media accounts,

• artist and production information,

• promotional assets such as still images, posters, or press materials.

These materials may be used to promote the selected projects and the festival internationally.

Awards & Jury

Festival winners are chosen by an international jury composed of filmmakers, music video professionals, producers, and industry experts.
